The release of the schedule for the 2023 NFL season is nearing, and fans are anticipating seeing the individual schedules of their favorite teams, as well as some of the more notable matchups on national television.

The league announced on Monday that the schedule will be officially released on Thursday, May 11 and that there will be a three-hour show going over the release of the schedule on NFL Network.

There will be some interesting storylines going into the new season that the league will surely want to take advantage of, perhaps in Week 1 to start the schedule.

The biggest one is likely the trade that sent Aaron Rodgers from the Green Bay Packers to the New York Jets — will the two teams face off in an inter-conference contest?

The league will also have several games taking place outside of the United States, presumably in an attempt to spread our version of football across the globe and expand its popularity.

The Buffalo Bills, Tennessee Titans, Jacksonville Jaguars, Kansas City Chiefs, and New England Patriots will all reportedly host games in foreign countries according to ESPN.com.

A new league rule will allow teams to be on “Thursday Night Football” twice a season, a move that is controversial, as it will lead to more shortened rest periods.

There will also be a game on Black Friday, which will be on Nov. 24 this year, for the first time ever.

The long wait for Week 1 of the 2023 season is on, and 2023 should be an exciting and intriguing year throughout the league.
