Up until last postseason, Mahomes and the Chiefs had not beaten Burrow and the Bengals.
Despite the Chiefs having an impressive record against the rest of the conference, a victory over Burrow eluded them.
Thankfully for Mahomes and the Chiefs fanbase, they were able to get that win in the AFC Championship, which propelled them into the Super Bowl.
The rest is history, as the Chiefs were able to get the job done in the title game, bringing another Lombardi Trophy to Kansas City.
How will things unfold between the two teams this season?
Burrow and the Bengals have continued to hone their roster, adding key pieces to help them best compete in the AFC.
Coming off their Super Bowl victory, the Chiefs have also added to their roster, ensuring they can keep their place at the top.
