Claire Cottrill records new versions of songs from her two 2019 albums immunity and the 2021 suspenders, In the prestigious New York City studio. These tracks have been performed live for several years, so this record offers a comfortable, live performance that allows the artist and her band to really relax. Singles “Bags” and “Amoeba” in particular stand out on these snappy iterations; Clairo’s vocals and melody are on full display in contrast to the studio version’s elaborate sheen.

Artists such as Father John Misty, Perfume Genius, MUNA, and Japanese Breakfast are all set to release Live in Electric Lady EPs in recent years. Clairo’s version came after she shared “For Now,” a presentation whose profits benefited two nonprofits. The singer-songwriter has also recently appeared on remixes for Phoenix and beabadoobee.
This summer, she will perform in the Re:SET tour series with boygenius, Dijon and Bartees Strange.
