The New Orleans Saints added a new quarterback in former Las Vegas Raider Derek Carr this offseason.

They have committed to him as their franchise quarterback and expect elite results.

One player that should play a significant role in the Saints’ offense is wide receiver Michael Thomas.

He has spent the last few seasons battling injuries but is expected to be ready for the season.

According to NBC Sports Edge, Thomas is expected to be ready for preseason.

This is great news for Thomas and the Saints as he has played in limited games in the past three years.

After the first four seasons of Thomas’ career, he was on pace to be a legendary receiver.

His best season came in 2019 when he recorded 149 receptions and 1,725 yards.

Now he is hoping to have similar production with Carr under center.

Thomas had a lot of success early in his career with Drew Brees.

It will be interesting to see how the Saints’ offense changes to accommodate Carr.

He has a strong arm and should be able to expose opposing defenses downfield.

Also, the expectations are high for the Saints in 2023.

They have the best quarterback in the NFC South and are the early favorites to win the division.

The play of Carr will directly impact how far the Saints go.

Keep an eye on Thomas and Chris Olave to have huge seasons with improved quarterback play.
