John 5 Unveils Fender “Ghost” Telecaster Artist Signature Guitar

New Mötley Crüe guitarist John 5 has teamed up with Fender on the “Ghost” Telecaster artist’s signature electric guitar.

Visually, the all-white ax is stunning. It features a top-rim alder body with mirrored chrome pickguard/control board and a one-piece maple neck finished in a striking arctic white gloss with red accents.

All specs and configurations are John 5 certified, including a custom neck profile with a 9.50″ radius fingerboard and narrow, tall frets, all for increased playability.

Electronically, the guitar is equipped with mid-to-high-gain Dimarzio D Activator humbucking pickups, designed to replicate the sound of active pickups in a passive format. Other features include deluxe locking tuners and a six-saddle Tele bridge with block steel saddles for tuning stability and tone. Also includes custom white tolex hard shell case with red interior.

“I’ve played Telecasters my whole life, and being able to design my own Telecasters is a dream come true,” John 5 said in a press release from Fender. “In terms of design, I took inspiration from some of Fender’s previous collaborations, but I sought to create a model that was both visually striking and comfortable to play. Fender helped me design a model that was unlike anything else on the market The easy-to-play all-white fretboard and unique pickguard are proof of that.

In addition to the guitars, John 5 and Fender have released a line of accessories, including white leather straps with red suede backing, arctic white 10-foot cables with custom-molded red ends, and a 6-pack of 351 with John’s Celluloid Pick 5 logo.

“The leather strap and cables complement the guitar’s white aesthetic, and the pick visuals are absolutely killer!” the guitarist commented.

In addition to his current gig at the Mötley Crüe, John 5 is the long-time guitarist of Rob Zombie and plays with David Lee Roth.

The John 5 “Ghost” Telecaster retails for $2,999.99 and is available through Fender website. You can view product images of the guitar below.
