Trea Turner Finally Snapped A Shocking Drought

The Philadelphia Phillies had high expectations coming into the season.

After making the World Series, a playoff berth should be the bare minimum for this Phillies team.

Unfortunately, they have not gotten off to a good start.

The Phillies have a record of 22-25 so far this season and are in fourth place in the NL East.

One player that was expected to have a major impact is shortstop Trea Turner.

Yet, he has struggled so far this year.

Turner is hitting .256 with four home runs and 11 RBI through his first 195 at-bats.

This is far from the production that Phillies fans thought they would be getting from the former All-Star.

One spot Turner has struggled the most is with runners in scoring position.

According to Matt Gelb, for the first time since April 19, Turner had a hit with runners in scoring position on Monday.

It is quite shocking to see Turner struggling this much with runners in scoring position.

Coming into this season he was seen as one of the top players in baseball.

That is why the Phillies felt comfortable giving him such a massive contract.

But, we are still not 50 games through the regular season and Turner has time to turn it around.

If the Phillies are going to get back into NL East contention they need the best of Turner.

He has to hit for a better average and more power.

This Phillies team is far too talented to miss the postseason.

But they must find a way to solve their issues and get back on track.
