Armed police drove into a car on Thursday downing street where is the british prime minister Rich Sunak and several other high ranking politicians.
“A man attended the scene on suspicion of criminal damage and dangerous driving,” Metropolitan Police said in a statement. “No injuries have been reported.”
Shortly after the incident, video shared by the BBC appeared to show a hatchback pulling into the Downing Street entrance at a relatively slow pace.
Images on social media showed the car parked at the entrance of the street surrounded by emergency vehicles.
Much of the surrounding area was closed to the public due to the heavy police presence in the area.
Sunak’s office would not say whether he was home at the time of the incident, as many government workers left nearby offices that day.
