Disney’s live-action remake little mermaid Movie fans old and new can pick up an official Mattel doll starring Halle Bailey in theaters today (May 26).
This poseable doll features a “ombre” mermaid tail with a glittery fin and Ariel’s signature long red hair. Bailey showed it before instagram video, in which she chokes up with excitement over a doll, “It looks like me (and is) my favorite Disney character.” She called the moment “surreal,” noting how Mattel captured her likeness all the way to Her moles and hair. “My inner little girl is pinching herself right now,” Bailey added.

Directed by Rob Marshall, the adaptation of Disney’s 1989 animated classic also stars Melissa McCarthy as her tentacle-bound antagonist, Ursula. Javier Bardem plays Ariel’s father, King Triton, while Jonah Hauer-King plays Eric, her lover on shore. ). Daveed Diggs, Jacob Tremblay and Awkwafina voice Sebastian, Flounder and Scuto, respectively, for Ariel’s underwater gang.
