Atlanta starter Bryce Elder threw a season-high 7 1/3 innings and gave up a run after allowing five hits, three walks and five strikeouts. It was his 16th straight start and pitched at least five innings. He had six starts in May with a 1.72 ERA (seven runs in 36 2/3 innings), but went without a decision for his fifth straight start.

Atlanta came on in the third inning when Kevin Pilar hit a homer to left. Peeler has hit a home run in his past three games. He also doubled on Tuesday.

Team A tied the score in the fifth inning. Esteury Ruiz drove to left field in the Shea Langeliers. Ruiz leads all major league rookies with 60 hits.
