Former NBA Player Doesn’t See LeBron And Kyrie Reuniting In Dallas

The chances of Kyrie Irving getting his wish and having LeBron James join him on the Dallas Mavericks are very slim.

But that doesn’t stop people from wondering what it would be like if these two giants of the game played together again.

Matt Barnes is one of the many who doesn’t see it becoming a reality but he actually thinks it would help Irving’s game.

“I just don’t see it happening. I think LeBron has set up stakes in California with several houses…I don’t see him uprooting the family for one year,” Barnes said on FanDuel TV.

“I think it’s wishful thinking by Kyrie,” Barnes added.

Barnes noted that James might be one of the only stars who can make Irving focus better on basketball.

He believes that if these two did play together, it would fix Irving’s “legacy.”

But he still knows that James won’t be coming to the Mavericks.

The only way the Lakers would even consider a monster trade like this is if they got Luka Doncic in return.

Of course, everyone knows that’s not going to happen.

Some people have speculated that the news of this possible arrangement was leaked by the Mavericks as a way to convince Irving that they were performing their due diligence and trying to make it happen.

Others think it was Irving’s camp that leaked it in order to stir things up.

Either way, James is most definitely going to stay put in Los Angeles with his team and his family.

As for Irving, it’s still not clear what his next steps will be.

Will he remain in Dallas or try to work his way over to the West Coast to play with James in Los Angeles?
