The Czech Republic has introduced a new train ticket that enables travellers to visit the whole country for the entire summer without having to buy another.

As reported by VisitCzechia, a website promoting tourism to the country, the train is valid for trips starting from July 1 of this year until August 31, 2023, SchengenVisaInfo.com reports.

At the same time, it is mainly intended for tourists who intend to actively travel to the Czech Republic by train during the summer. Ticket sales for tourists will begin on June 15.

As for the ticket price, its cost will be 1390 CZK for seven days (around €60) and 1990 CZK (around €85) for fourteen days. Meanwhile, reduced prices for children up to 18 years old, students up to 26 years old and senior citizens will be between 695 and 995 CZK (between €30 and €42).

This ticket, during its validity period, enables travellers to use it to board all ČD trains without limitation, to travel any number of kilometres, to get off anywhere and board any regular connection as well. However, only on SC Pendolino connections is it necessary for passengers to make a reservation.

Moreover, for this summer, the Republic of Czechia has prepared other special offers, such as discounted tickets for music festivals in a bid to attract as many tourists as possible. Admission discounts are also prepared for ČD customers at other festivals, historic buildings, tourist exhibitions and much more.

Previously, Czech authorities launched another single ticket for rail travel from Prague to several Ukrainian cities, including Kharkiv, Poltava, Zaporizhzhia and Dnipro.

Such a measure has been undertaken in cooperation with the Czech railway company RegioJet and the Ukrainian railway company Ukrzaliznytsia. As a result, this decision aims to make it possible for visitors from Ukraine to travel from Prague to the cities mentioned above on a single ticket, regardless of connections and transfers.

In addition, a night train will be available for all travellers who intend to travel from Prague to Przemysl, who must transfer to Ukrzaliznytsia trains to their destination in Ukraine.

Prices for a one-way ticket to the farthest point, which is Zaporizhzhia, vary from €70.9. As for tickets to Kharkiv, their price is €69.2, from Prague to Dnipro – €68, while from Prague to Poltava – €65.

Similarly to Czechia, the Spanish government also aims to encourage more tourists to travel to Spain this summer, thus reducing the price of train and bus tickets for young people.

As a result, travellers will be able to get a train ticket at a reduced price for a period of three months, starting from June 15, 2023 to September 15, 2023.
