Greta Van Fleet shares new song “Farewell for Now.” The track appears on the Michigan rockers’ upcoming third studio album, star catcherReleased July 21 via Lava/Republic Records.
“In ‘Farewell for Now,’ we expressed our desire to stay on stage and savor the magic created by the audience’s musical phenomenon,” bassist Sam Kiszka said in a statement. “But we’ll have to pack up and go to the next location to start over; as always, we’ll be back soon.”
“Farewell for Now” shows Greta Van Fleet’s softer side in a very retro-sounding ballad.This song follows on from the previous albums star catcher Singles “Meeting the Master” and “Sacred the Thread”.
In other news, Greta Van Fleet has announced a limited edition translucent black glitter vinyl variant star catcheravailable through the band’s Online store. They also launched red glitter vinyl, only available at Targetand opaque vinyl, available at select local record stores.
Greta Van Fleet will perform new tunes and more as they begin their “Starcatcher World Tour” on July 24th at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. The outing will be supported by Kaleo, Surf Curse, Mt. Joy and Black Honey. The band will also tour Europe later this year, starting in Hamburg, Germany on November 6, followed by more international shows in Paris, Madrid, Amsterdam and more.
