The Atlanta Braves knew what they had early on with Ronald Acuna Jr.

He was one of the top prospects in baseball and he was elite ever since he got called up.

Acuna won Rookie of the Year in 2018 and showed all of the five-tool potential.

While Acuna has been seen as an MVP candidate for the past few years he has yet to win the award.

But, this season he is the heavy favorite for NL MVP.

One of the main reasons why is that he is on pace to make MLB history.

According to Odds Shark, Acuna is on pace for 32 home runs and 74 stolen bases.

Those numbers would make Acuna the first player in history to go 30/70, and even 30/60.

His numbers this year are otherworldly.

He is hitting a .331 with 52 runs scored in 61 games.

Also, he has an OPS of .959.

One issue that Acuna has faced in recent years is injury problems.

He only has one season in his six-year career with over 120 games played.

Even though he did play 46 of the 60 games in the 2020 Covid season.

Acuna is only 25 years old and he has already accomplished so much in the MLB.

There was a reason the Braves gave him an eight-year contract back in 2019.

The Braves are on the shortlist of teams that can win the World Series.

Their 37-24 record is the best in the National League.

It appears as if everything is coming together for the Braves and Acuna this season.
