The Portland Trail Blazers are entering a crucial offseason.
Despite having said nothing about wanting to leave the Trail Blazers, Damian Lillard keeps being mentioned in trade rumors.
The point guard can move the needle for more than one franchise around the league, which is why so many are interested in his services.
However, he’s not entertaining any of that and according to Portland reporter Danny Marang, Lillard is ‘actively’ recruiting free agents.

After so many years of being recruited by other stars, including LeBron James and Anthony Davis, Lillard is the one doing the job now.
It’s unclear who he’s talking to, but Lillard is taking care of things by himself, trying to lure big players to Portland.
He’s made it clear he wants to win with the Trail Blazers, and is using all his resources to assemble a championship-caliber team.
It won’t be easy, as Portland isn’t the most desired market for stars.
Still, having the opportunity to play with one of the best players in the league should be enough motivation for some of these free agents.
This offseason can mark the end of this era for the Trail Blazers or the start of something even better for them.
Lillard is still a sought-after player and if the Blazers fail to surround him with a competitive team, he’ll probably ask out sooner rather than later.
