The Charlotte Hornets have more moves to make before they can call themselves contenders.

After missing out on the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming 2023 NBA Draft, the Hornets are studying their options as Victor Wembanyama is out of the equation now.

Scoot Henderson was expected by many to be taken with the No. 2 overall pick but this might be changing leading up to the draft.

According to draft expert Jonathan Givony, via the NBA Central, the Hornets could favor picking Brandon Miller over Henderson in the upcoming draft.

While Henderson has made it clear he can even be the No. 1 overall pick in the draft, he might end up falling to No. 3.

Miller is another top prospect ahead of the 2023 NBA Draft.

In 37 games with Alabama, the small forward averaged 18.8 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 2.1 assists, shooting 43.0% from the field and 38.4% from 3-point range.

He’s been compared to players like Paul George.

Miller has handles, can attack the rim, and also has a decent jumper.

The Hornets believed they had something going after drafting LaMelo Ball in 2020, but besides a play-in tournament participation, the Hornets haven’t done much.

They need to add the right pieces to a team that has lived at the bottom of the standings for quite some time.

Miller is a solid prospect, but it remains to be seen what the Hornets’ front office wants to do.
