The Washington Wizards are reportedly considering hitting the reset button.

That means parting ways with Bradley Beal and his astronomically-high salary.

And while Beal might not be the biggest star in the game right now, there should still be some interested in his services.

With that in mind, ESPN insider Alan Hahn believes the New York Knicks should look to make a run at the shooting guard.

He believes they could put together an elite offensive backcourt with Beal and Jalen Brunson leading the way for years to come.

On paper, this makes perfect sense, and the Knicks are actually one of the few teams that could realistically trade for Beal, both in terms of assets and salary cap.

Hahn, like several other insiders, also claimed that we should keep an eye on the Philadelphia 76ers as another potential landing spot for Beal, who’s not likely to stay in the nation’s capital for much longer.

The Wizards also need to figure out what to do with Kristaps Porzingis and Kyle Kuzma.

They’re reportedly high on the former and would love to keep him on board for years to come, while the latter has hinted at opting out of the final year of his contract to sign another lucrative long-term deal, whether it’s there or somewhere else.

Whatever the case, it’s evident that the Wizards have peaked already, and it would be better for all parties involved if they just parted ways, as they’re simply not good enough to compete for a ring right now.
