Bring Me the Horizon Announce New Album Post Human: NeX GEn

Bring Me the Horizon has announced their seventh full-length studio album, Posthuman: NeX GEnArrives September 15th via Columbia Records.

The news comes after a string of singles from the British band: “DiE4u,” “sTraNgeRs,” “LosT” and “AmEN!” The erratic capitalization in the title suggests they may be part of the same album.

The band used an immersive augmented reality method to announce the album, providing fans with a series of clues and riddles, culminating in a secret building, the Chapel of Genesis, which appeared alongside BMTH’s UK festival appearance on Download festival scene this past weekend. Once inside, fans experience “a variety of immersive Genxsis rituals, including facial branding, sermons, and tarot readings, as they complete their journey to membership.”

The LP will continue the band’s “Posthuman” series, which began with 2020’s EP Posthuman: Survival Horror. The collection features multiple collaborations with YUNGBLUD, BABYMETAL, Nova Twins and Amy Lee of Evanescence. Bring Me the Horizon seems to be continuing this collaborative trend with their new material, featuring Glassjaw’s Lil Uzi Vert and Daryl Palumbo for “AmEN!”

The album’s release also came in time for Bring Me the Horizon to support Fall Out Boy’s North American tour. The walking tour will begin in Chicago on June 21, tickets here.
