Future Hall-of-Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been adjusting to his new surroundings in the New York City area very well ever since being traded by the Green Bay Packers to the New York Jets.

He has joined a team that has a talented young cast around him, and that team really feels it is a legitimate Super Bowl contender right now.

A big part of that cast is the reigning Defensive Rookie of the Year and Offensive Rookie of the Year in cornerback Sauce Gardner and wide receiver Garrett Wilson, respectively.

Rodgers gave the two some very high praise, per the NFL Twitter account.

Gardner is already one of the NFL’s best corners, and he put together an outstanding rookie season with a league-high 20 passes defended while being named to both the Pro Bowl and All-Pro first-team.

Wilson, meanwhile, looked very promising in 2022 with 1,103 yards and four touchdowns on 83 receptions.

In addition, New York has brought in a couple of Rodgers’ old teammates in wide receivers Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb, and they have also hired Nathaniel Hackett, Rodgers’ offensive coordinator in Green Bay from 2019 to 2021.

There is no guarantee, however, that this new crew will be very successful or that it will even make the playoffs.

The simple fact is that the AFC, and especially the AFC East, will be extremely deep and competitive, and that will mean the Jets will have to be on their game all the time this fall and winter.

In addition, the 39-year-old Rodgers will need to return to form after seeing his production drop in 2022.
