SRINAGAR: A woman has tragically died, and her son has sustained injuries, after their two-wheeler was hit by an SSB vehicle near Abdullah Bridge in the Rajbagh area of Srinagar, Central Kashmir.
According to an official, a scooty carrying the mother and son was struck by an SSB vehicle in Rajbagh, resulting in their injuries.
The injured individuals were immediately taken to the nearest hospital for treatment. However, the doctors declared the woman, identified as Akifa from Chanapora, Srinagar, as brought dead upon arrival.
Upon hearing the news of her death, a wave of sadness swept over the entire area, with neighbors and others gathering at the house to offer their condolences.
Confirming the incident, a police official stated that they have taken note of the occurrence. A case has been registered at Rajbagh Police Station, Srinagar, under the relevant sections of the law, with the FIR number 29/2023.
The father of the deceased woman, speaking to the media, mentioned that his daughter and her son were on their way to visit a patient at Modern Hospital in Rajbagh, Srinagar. (KNO)
