The 2008 Boston Celtics remain an iconic team in franchise history.

To this day, they are the last team to win a championship for the legendary franchise despite playing in the Finals in 2010 and 2022, respectively.

The 2008 team was led by the Big Three of Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Ray Allen.  They went all the way to the Finals and beat the Los Angeles Lakers in six games.

Following that series, Garnett told fans and the rest of the NBA world that anything was possible.

Fans are remembering this series-clinching game today on the 15th anniversary of that duel, as well as that iconic phrase from Garnett.

Garnett, a former MVP and DPOY, won his first NBA championship that season after many years of trying with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

He averaged 18.2 points, 13.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game in six outings, including 26 points in Game 6 to give his team the title.

Many thought that the 2008 title was the first of many to come for the Celtics.

However, it was an uphill battle after that in trying to regain their magic.

Kevin Garnett suffered a season-ending injury the following season after they started the season strong at 44-12.

The team also lost to the Orlando Magic in the second round of playoffs in seven games later that season.

From there, the team eventually started to lose their key players from that championship squad.
