Phillies recall LHP Cristopher Sanchez to start vs. A’s

this Philadelphia Phillies Left-hander Christopher Sanchez was recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley to start Saturday’s game against the host Oakland Athletics

Philadelphia also placed right-hander Seranthony Dominguez on the injured list for 15 days with a strained left oblique muscle. The move was retroactive to Friday.

Sanchez, 26, plans to make second start of the season phillies. He hit a 3-run homer on 5 hits in 4 1/3 innings against the Colorado Rockies on April 22

Dominguez, 28, is 1-2 with a 4.33 ERA in 32 appearances this season.

Also on Saturday, phillies Recalls right-hander Junior Malte from Lehigh Valley and selects right-hander Luis Ortiz to Triple-A club

Malte, 28, has appeared in 15 games for Philadelphia this season and has a 7.71 ERA without a decision.

Ortiz, 27, is winless or losing in nine games this season with a 3.46 ERA phillies. He recorded his first career save on Tuesday against the Arizona Diamondbacks
