The NBA offseason is officially underway, with one blockbuster trade already taking place, with the star-studded Phoenix Suns recently acquiring three-time All-Star guard Bradley Beal in a deal with the Washington Wizards.

On Wednesday, it appears the Wizards weren’t done wheeling and dealing ahead of the 2023 NBA Draft on Thursday night, with Washington working on a three-team trade with the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Clippers.

The two most prominent names in the trade are Kristaps Porzingis, who would head to Boston in the deal, and reigning NBA Sixth Man of the Year Malcolm Brogdon, who would be headed to Los Angeles, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Washington is clearly in complete rebuilding mode, as they seem to be shedding as much salary as they can while taking on draft picks and smaller contracts.

As for the Celtics, Boston was expected to entertain a big move or two, but some believed it would involve star forward Jaylen Brown, who just became eligible for a supermax contract extension.

At this point in time, it seems as though Brown is safe in Boston for the time being, and Brad Stevens is trying to surround him and Jayson Tatum with more talent to win a title in the near future.

Porzingis is coming off an impressive season in Washington, but he’s still a risk in terms of injuries, as they had plagued his career leading back to when he became a star with the New York Knicks to start his career in the NBA.

However, the Brown, Tatum, and Porzingis trio is pretty formidable and will intimidate opposing teams.
