The 2023 NBA Draft is right around the corner, with all 30 teams in the league gearing up for what will be an exciting night on Thursday, June 22, as the NBA will be officially introduced to French superstar Victor Wembanyama.

Wembanyama is expected to be selected No. 1 overall in Thursday’s draft by the San Antonio Spurs, with longtime head coach Gregg Popovich getting another shot at grooming another superstar in the frontcourt.

As Wembanyama prepares to be drafted on Thursday, the 19-year-old is making the rounds and threw out the first pitch for the New York Yankees on Tuesday night at Yankee Stadium.

For some reason, many professional basketball players struggle to throw a baseball even though they can do some incredible things on the hardwood with athletic feats that leave jaws dropped.

Wembanyama, unfortunately, is one of those basketball stars that should never be on the mound throwing out a first pitch, as this went badly, via SportsCenter.

Although Wembanyama is like poetry in motion on a basketball court, it can’t be easy for the 7-foot-5 teenager to do much else with that skinny frame, which includes throwing a baseball on an MLB mound.

It was painful to see that deliver by the basketball superstar, but he’ll no doubt make up for it when he’s suiting up for Popovich on a nightly basis during the 2023-24 NBA season.

Wembanyama is easily the most hyped player to come into the league since LeBron James in 2003, and we’ve all seen how that has gone as he recently passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.
