The 2023 NFL Draft is finally here, with all 30 teams gearing up for Thursday’s festivities, especially the San Antonio Spurs, who could potentially be bringing in the best player in the franchise’s history since Hall of Famer Tim Duncan.

After a number of years of struggle near the bottom of the Western Conference, Gregg Popovich and company have a chance to right the ship, with the team having the No. 1 overall pick in Thursday’s draft and a generational talent being there for the taking once they’re on the clock.

All signs point to the Spurs taking French superstar Victor Wembanyama with the top pick in the draft, who is arguably the best NBA prospect since LeBron James back in 2003, as Jay Bilas proclaims on The Pat McAfee Show.

At 7’5″, Wembanyama can do literally anything on the basketball court, as he’s arguably the most well-rounded player the league has ever seen at his size.

Wembanyama is one inch shorter than NBA legend Yao Ming but doesn’t seem limited in any way by his height or skinny frame, which has basketball fans ecstatic about the league’s next superstar.

Although the pressure of living up to the hype is immense right now, Wembanyama doesn’t seem fazed at all before heading into the draft on Thursday night.

Along with being incredibly talented, Wembanyama will have the advantage of being coached by Popovich, who is one of the best to ever to do it and has a lot of experience coaching international players and turning them into winners.
