Brandon Miller Makes Wild Prediction For His Rookie Season

The Charlotte Hornets are feeling good after selecting Brandon Miller as the No. 2 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.

With Scoot Henderson on the board, many fans thought the point guard was the right selection.

There’s nothing they can do to change that decision now, and the Hornets seem to be happy with Miller.

Miller has already shown his confidence as soon as he was drafted, claiming that the Hornets will play in the 2024 NBA Finals.

It’s always good to see a young player boasting huge confidence, but this is completely unrealistic for the Hornets.

The Hornets haven’t even made the playoffs since they landed LaMelo Ball in the 2019 NBA Draft, barely making it to the play-in tournament in 2020.

Their current roster is pretty much the same from three seasons ago, and nothing shows that they can get over the hump and actually compete for a championship.

Brandon Miller is believed to be a future perennial All-Star by the team.

Last season, with Alabama, he posted 18.8 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game.

The Hornets have been a pushover in the league for a while now, and they hope that Miller can change that.

They finished the 2022-23 season with a 27-55 record, ranking 14th in the Eastern Conference standings.

Going from near the bottom of the standings to the NBA Finals sounds pretty unlikely right now, but Miller believes the team can go all the way to the Finals.

The Hornets are one of five teams to never play in the championship series.
