The Golden State Warriors shocked the NBA world when they traded Jordan Poole to the Washington Wizards in exchange for Chris Paul.

Exchanging one of their youngest players and bringing in a 38-year-old player didn’t sound that good to many fans.

Still, the Warriors are convinced they can make another championship run with Paul on the roster.

Several people disagreed with this move, including Stephen A. Smith, who didn’t like it at all.

Smith admits that this was a business move by the Warriors, but from the basketball side, it’s not that good for them.

Of course, Chris Paul is a legendary player and one of the 10 best point guards to ever live.

However, sending that much to Washington in exchange for a player nearing his 40s doesn’t seem too wise.

The Warriors are already an older team, and adding Paul doesn’t make them better than they were last year.

In terms of chemistry, this could help them since Jordan Poole and Draymond Green starred in a controversial incident ahead of the 2022-23 season.

Paul is a proven veteran still trying to win a championship, and at this point in his career, he won’t hesitate to make sacrifices if that means he can win that elusive ring.

The Warriors still need to make a decision on Draymond Green’s future after landing Paul.

Entering his 19th NBA season, Paul has averaged 17.9 points, 9.5 assists, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.1 steals in 1,214 regular-season games.
