Now that the 2023 NBA Draft is officially in the books, with all 30 teams in the league bringing in some fresh talent from the college level and overseas, the San Antonio Spurs look ahead to a promising future with French import Victor Wembanyama leading the way.

With Wembanyama now in the fold in San Antonio, NBA fans and the media have been wondering when they’ll get to see him on the floor in a Spurs uniform.

Fortunately, Wembanyama has decided not to play in the FIBA World Cup in order to prepare for the 2023-24 season, which means he’ll likely be showcasing his talents in the NBA Summer League next month, as shared by Ball Don’t Lie.

With the annual event in Las Vegas, Nevada getting increasingly popular every single year, Sin City can anticipate many more fans coming to the desert in July, with Wembanyama seemingly ready to suit up for some games with his new team.

Of course, with Wembanyama expected to be the next face of the storied franchise and its most coveted asset, Gregg Popovich and company likely won’t be forcing him to play too much during Summer League.

Usually, rookies of Wembanyama’s caliber don’t see the floor very much during these events or in the preseason, with teams being cautious how they use their players before the regular season.

The same kind of scenario will be likely for guard Scoot Henderson of the Portland Trail Blazers and Brandon Miller of the Charlotte Hornets, as the worst-case scenario for these young players would be an injury in a game that doesn’t count.
