arizona cardinals Safety Bada Baker plans to attend next month’s training camp despite trade request, agent tells NFL Network
Beck’s representative, David Mulugheta, was quoted by NFL Network as saying that Baker plans to join the team when training camp begins, but he hopes to reach a deal that shows he’s a “long-term member of the team.”
He participated in the mandatory minicamp in June but did not practice.
First-year head coach Jonathan Gannon said the situation was an “organizational issue.”
Baker, a five-time Pro Bowl selection, signed a four-year, $59 million contract in 2020 that runs through the 2024 season. He is the seventh highest paid safety in the NFL. Arizona has selected the team option for 24 seasons.
Baker, 27, was a second-round pick in 2017. He has 650 career tackles in 93 games over six seasons, with 7.5 sacks and seven interceptions, all with Arizona.
