The New York Knicks are looking to build off their Eastern Conference Semifinals finish from last season.

They have built a strong roster over the years and have done a great job signing impact players from free agency.

Last offseason the Knicks signed Jalen Brunson to a huge contract who has been worth every penny.

Now the Knicks are hoping to hit big in free agency again.

One player they just signed to a four-year contract is former Golden State Warrior Donte DiVincenzo.

He signed a four-year $50 million deal with the Knicks and adds to their loaded core of Villanova players.

Brunson, DiVincenzo, and Josh Hart all played together at Villanova where they won a National Championship.

But Hart wants to add one more Villanova player into the fold.

Mikal Bridges was also a part of that Villanova championship team and Hart wants him to join the Knicks.

The chances of that happening are slim to none as Bridges is a cornerstone player of the Nets.

Brooklyn has no interest in moving Bridges as he played great as their go-to scorer last year.

The Nets acquired Bridges in the trade that sent Kevin Durant to the Phoenix Suns.

Bridges played 27 games with the Nets last season and averaged 26.1 points per game.

He helped lead them to the playoffs and showed he can be the number-one scoring option on their team.

Bridges looks like a cornerstone player as the Nets look to rebuild their roster in the post-Durant, Kyrie Irving era.
