With so many teams in the AFC starting to turn the corner and show signs of a promising future, the Kansas City Chiefs flew under the radar last season, with many other teams getting attention and buzz as title contenders.

The Cincinnati Bengals, Buffalo Bills, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Miami Dolphins got a lot of hype throughout the 2022 campaign, and rightfully so for some of them.

However, when the NFL playoffs rolled around, it was another story entirely, with the Chiefs proving they’re still the team to beat in the NFL and all of these AFC heavyweights taking a backseat to Patrick Mahomes and company.

Although he’s only been on the team for a short while and hasn’t even played a snap for his new team yet, wide receiver Richie James likes what he sees from his new team, and who can blame him when he is catching passes from Mahomes via Around the NFL.

With the Chiefs losing two critical pieces to the offensive puzzle from last season, as JuJu Smith-Schuster and Mecole Hardman have moved on, James has an opportunity to help fill the void and potentially have a career year in Kansas City.

The Chiefs proved they can let players walk in free agency and trades and still be a dominant force offensively, as they traded superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill to the Dolphins last season and still won it all without the speedy wideout downfield.

Last season, James had a breakout year with the New York Giants, as he recorded a career-high 57 receptions for 569 yards and four touchdowns.
