Kyle Korver Owns An Impressive Career NBA Mark

The NBA is now filled with terrific three-point shooters who have quite literally changed the way the league works.

Of course, Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors gets the most attention for his prowess from downtown.

But he’s not the only generational talent who has made a habit of landing threes.

StatMuse points out that retired sharpshooter Kyle Korver still holds the record for the most career games without missing a three, with a minimum of three attempts.

He had 30 games of not missing a three, followed by icons Steve Nash (27) and Rudy Gay (25).

This is a good reminder of just how special Korver was during his time in the league.

During his 17 years in the league, it was rare for Korver’s three-point percentage to drop below 40%.

In fact, he led the league in that department four times during his tenure.

No other player before or since has achieved that.

In the 2009-10 season, Korver was nailing 53.6% of his shots from beyond the three-point line.

Korver retired from playing in 2020 but that doesn’t mean he is done with the NBA.

Today he is an assistant general manager for the team he did so much for: the Atlanta Hawks.

He was part of a generation that changed the way players, coaches, and fans viewed three-pointers.

Between Korver, Curry, and others, the league became more focused on threes.

Curry has, of course, found more postseason success than Korver ever did.

Although Korver made his way to the Finals a couple of times, he was never able to win a championship ring.

Still, his place in NBA history is secure because of his brilliant output from the three-point line.
