10 Reasons to Get ‘Em Now

It’s been five years since Queen Bey last toured the US, and even longer since her last truly solo tour. But in just a few days, all that will change. The most awarded Grammy winner of all time is finally back as Beyonce begins the North American leg of her “Renaissance World Tour.”

As the European race officially enters the history books, this latest spectacle has proven to be a formidable force in the live music scene. Tickets for Beyoncé’s “Renaissance Tour” show were the second most popular of the summer, behind Taylor Swift’s “Times Tour,” according to a StubHub report.

Even though the initial ticket buying process for the Renaissance Tour was far less bad than for the Times Tour, the show still sold out almost immediately. Fortunately, you still have time to buy last-minute tickets, and they’re cheaper than you might expect. (This is especially true if you are willing to step out of the normal market; hi $85 Pittsburgh Ticket! ) So, if you need extra motivation to visit Queen Bey, here are 10 first-hand accounts of how incredible the trip has been so far.

It’s not a concert, it’s a spectacle:

I mean, we’re talking about Beyoncé – you really think she’s going to come out and then Sing? Certainly not. The stage performances of this tour are carefully crafted, exciting and unpredictable. Divided into seven different performances, Beyoncé and her team apparently spent countless hours meticulously designing every aspect of what appeared on stage, from audio to visuals to the underlying themes of the gig listings. Even at her level, that effort is unmatched by most, and it’s exactly what her music deserves.

And clothing, oh, clothing:

What would Beyoncé’s high-quality work be without some of the year’s best and most eye-catching clothing designs? The pop star’s performance attire somehow managed to match the extravagance and spectacle of the surrounding performances. What’s more, she kept remodeling throughout the tour. Only the Queen herself knows what to expect in North America, but if the exhibition in Europe is any indication, it’s the book hunt.
