Lately, the trend of throwing things at musicians has gotten so out of hand that we’ve run out of ways to say, stop doing it. Yet here we are again: Harry Styles was hit in the eye by an object thrown at him during a concert in Vienna, Austria on Saturday.
Fortunately, the “As It Was” singer did not appear to be seriously injured and was able to wrap up the concert as scheduled. Even so, it was the second time in nearly a month that he had encountered such a situation: Styles was hit in the eye by Skittles at a concert in Los Angeles last November.
The recent attack on Styles was part of an epidemic, with Bebe Rexha needing stitches after being hit in the face by a cell phone and Kelsea Ballerini being hit by a bracelet The concert was paused after the eyes. Meanwhile, P!NK was traumatized by a fan who threw his mother’s ashes on stage.
At a recent show, Adele berated concert goers for such bad behavior: “Have you ever noticed the way people are now, forgetting about fucking show etiquette? Those shitting on stage Man, have you seen it? I fucking dare you. If you dare to throw something at me, I’ll kill you.”
