Jack White has slammed celebrities including Guy Ferry, Mark Wahlberg, Joe Rogan and Mel Gibson, accusing them of normalizing former President Donald Trump.
“In my book, it’s disgusting for anyone to ‘normalize’ or treat this disgusting fascist, racist, liar, disgusting shit Trump with any level of respect.” Disgusted,” White posted on Instagram on Monday. “That’s you Joe Rogan, you Mel Gibson, you Mark Wahlberg, you Guy Ferry. This is my statement, not a discussion/debate.”
Trump was photographed chatting with Ferry, Wahlberg, Rogan and Gibson at UFC 290 in Las Vegas over the weekend. Of the group, Fieri’s connection was perhaps the most surprising. The celebrity chef has long been apolitical and recently joined Anger Against the Machine.Then again, he is good friend with Trump’s golfing buddy, Kid Rock.
In recent years, White has become increasingly outspoken about his political views. Last year, he accused Trump of appointing three conservative Supreme Court justices to overturn Roe v. Wade even though “you secretly paid for all the abortions.”
He also quit Twitter after Elon Musk reinstated Trump’s account, saying of his decision: “You (Musk) intend to provide a platform for known crooks like Pontiou Did Pilate wash his hands like that and claim no responsibility? Trump was removed from Twitter because he repeatedly incited violence and people died because of his lies and egos (not to mention his coup attempts to destroy democracy and our Capitol).”
