1 Eastern Conference Team Is Reportedly ‘Monitoring’ Pascal Siakam

The Toronto Raptors were supposed to blow their roster up and trade most of their pieces last season, but that wasn’t the case.

Masai Ujiri tried to double down on their attempts to make a run at a spot in the playoffs but to no avail.

The team then lost Fred VanVleet as a free agent instead of getting something in return, and that’s a mistake they might not commit twice.

And with all the rumors regarding Pascal Siakam, Raptors insider Michael Grange reports, via NBACentral, that the Orlando Magic are reportedly keeping tabs on him.

Truth be told, Siakam could be a seamless fit for that position-less team.

They’re too big, and the front office is always looking for length, and Siakam could be a plug-and-play kind of guy for them.

He would fit perfectly at the five in Orlando with five shooters on the floor at all times — assuming Cole Anthony starts for Anthony Black early in the season.

They have the young players and draft capital to make things work, and they could even send Jalen Suggs up north.

The Magic showed glimpses of great play last season despite their unimpressive record, and they might be just a veteran piece away from finally making the playoffs again, and the Raptors might have to part ways with Siakam while they still can before it becomes a VanVleet situation all over again.
