Veteran Darius Slay is one of the better cornerbacks in the NFL, and he is coming off a trip to the Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles, a team many are picking to play for another world championship this winter.

But even though he has made the Pro Bowl five times in his career, he is still open to learning, and he still seems to possess the desire to get better.

He says that defensive backs around the league should come together and hold workouts or even academies so they can learn from each other and help each other out, via The Volume.

All five of Slay’s Pro Bowl nods have come in the last six seasons, and even at age 32, he appears to still be going strong.

His comments come as training sessions and academies held by players at other positions have been promoted on social media.

Over the last couple of years, George Kittle, Travis Kelce, and Greg Olsen have held what they call “Tight End University” to allow tight ends to do drills, study film, and learn from the very best in the game.

This offseason, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Trey Lance, the No. 3 pick in the 2021 draft who is still thought to have plenty of potential, reportedly worked out with the Kansas City Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes and showed some significant improvement.

It is often said that the NFL is like a fraternity where players both past and present take care of each other, and Slay seems to have a very good idea that has already been implemented by others.
