The NBA offseason is approaching a quiet period, where not much gets done, and players start to go on vacation and heal up in anticipation of the next season.

Although that’s the case for most teams in the NBA right now, especially with the NBA Summer League recently coming to an end, the Philadelphia 76ers will have a busy offseason ahead, as general manager Daryl Morey is tasked with trying to find the best trade package for superstar guard James Harden.

Harden has made it known that he wants to play for his hometown Los Angeles Clippers, but he doesn’t have the advantage of having a no-trade clause in his contract.

That said, Morey can look around the league and see wants teams are offering, and this could become a long and drawn-out process that may take all summer.

As for Harden, he broke his silence on Instagram, indicating a bit of frustration as he must sit through this process, which he should be used to at this point.

Although Harden doesn’t have a no-trade clause, it seems like a foregone conclusion that the 76ers and Clippers will, at some point, come to terms on a blockbuster trade that sends the disgruntled guard to Los Angeles.

However, with how things are going in the NBA today, anything that can happen as a team could come out of nowhere with a trade proposal that is too good to pass up on, which could occur in the coming weeks or months.
