The Baltimore Ravens have been a strong contender out of the AFC North for years now.
Lamar Jackson is obviously one of the best quarterbacks in the game, and they now have all the pieces they need to get over the hump and back to their Super Bowl-winning ways.
Nonetheless, some people still seem to be overlooking them ahead of the upcoming campaign, which is a big mistake if you were to ask Craig Carton.
Carton claimed on his show that even with a backup quarterback, the Ravens weren’t that far off last season and that even though every single year is different, this new-look team could make a lot of noise in 2023.

The Ravens are obviously competing to go all the way this season.
Otherwise, they wouldn’t have made Lamar Jackson the highest-paid quarterback in the NFL, let alone spent three times as much money to get Odell Beckham Jr. to sign with them and not any of their competitors.
They already had a solid defense and a good head coach and realized all they needed to get to the next step was to put some weapons around their former MVP quarterback.
As of now, it seems like injuries are the only thing that could hold back this team, and that concern will follow them throughout the course of the season, given their recent injury of physical ailments.
Whatever the case, the battle for the top of the AFC will be one for the ages in the upcoming campaign, that’s for sure.
