The 2023 InkCarceration Festival was held this past weekend at the Ohio State Correctional Facility in Mansfield, Ohio.The old prison site was the location for the critically acclaimed film The Shawshank Redemption was photographed.

Limp Bizkit headlines Friday’s (July 14) lineup, releasing 12 songs that include hits like “Break Stuff” and “Nookie.” Singer Fred Durst sported yet another new look, this time wearing a curly gray wig that made him look like a cross between ELO singer Jeff Lynne and the late painter Bob Ross. Other acts in Friday’s bill include Coal Chamber, Highly Suspected, Hatebreed and more.

The revamped Pantera topped Saturday’s (July 15) Rainy Season show, performing 14 songs including classics like “A New Level,” “Walk” and “Cowboys From Hell.” Lamb of God (with a new buzz cut by singer Randy Blythe), In This Moment, Motionless in White and Underoath also performed in the middle of the festival.

Slipknot wrapped up the rock and tattoo extravaganza on Sunday (July 16) with a 16-song set that ended with a one-two punch encore of “Duality” and “Spit It Out.” The final day also includes performances from Megadeth, GWAR, Bush, Flyleaf and more.
