DeAndre Hopkins And The Titans Make It Official

The Tennessee Titans made a major move to bolster their roster heading into training camp.

That was by signing former All-Pro wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins.

He was released by the Arizona Cardinals earlier in the offseason and it took him a while to find a new team.

But, he was waiting for the right situation and he found it in Tennessee.

According to the Titans’ Twitter page, the deal has been made official.

Hopkins is now set to report to his first training camp as a Titan.

This was a big signing for the Titans as they lack elite skill players.

Hopkins should be their WR1 from the first day of camp.

But he will need to build chemistry with Ryan Tannehill.

The Titans selected Will Levis in the second round of the draft but he is not expected to begin the year as the starter.

An offense with Hopkins, Tannehill, and Derrick Henry could cause some problems for opposing defenses.

Despite being 31 years old, Hopkins can still play at an elite level.

Last season, he caught 64 passes for 717 yards and three touchdowns.

He did that while only playing in nine games.

It was interesting to see Hopkins choose the Titans because they are not considered a contender this year.

But, if everything can click for them on both sides of the ball maybe they can make a run at the AFC South title.

Having Hopkins in the fold has certainly increased their chances.
