The NFL offseason has been filled with many surprises.

This has included unexpected player cuts, organizational changes, and the announcement of many throwback jerseys and helmets.

After seeing several teams across the league release their throwback uniforms, the Tennessee Titans bounced back with their rendition.

As the NFL’s official Twitter page highlighted, the Titans’ jerseys will feature powder blue, with accents of red and white.

These uniforms are homage to the Houston Oilers, a Houston-based team from 1960-1966.

Many fans have expressed frustration with the Titans, given that the Oilers are from Houston, not Tennesee.

However, the Oilers did move to Tennessee, becoming the Titans, so this uniform is part of the team’s history.

While there has been initial fan excitement about the new uniforms, the Titans still have many unanswered questions heading into the 2023 season.

Their quarterback situation is still in the air, especially since they took Will Levis in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Ryan Tannehill is still the presumed starter, given his NFL experience up to this point.

However, Levis and Malik Willis will be working tirelessly to show the team they have what it takes to overtake Tannehill as the starter.

While Tannehill has found some success on this Titans roster, he could have a short leash.

The Titans finished the 2022 season with a 7-10 record, just one year removed from a 12-5 record.

If Tannehill and the rest of the team start slow, it could be a sign that either Levis or Willis will get their shot.

No matter what happens with the Titans this year, at least they have new uniforms to showcase.
