SRINAGAR: The Indira Gandhi National Tribal University (IGNTU) has invited online applications from eligible Indian nationals, including Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), for various teaching positions. The online application process commenced on July 15, 2023, and will continue until August 14, 2023. The deadline for receiving the hardcopy applications is August 21, 2023.
The recruitment drive aims to fill vacancies at the university’s Main Campus in Amarkantak, Madhya Pradesh, and its Regional Campus in Imphal, Manipur. According to the official announcement, eligible candidates can apply through the IGNTU website at http://igntu.ac.in/recruitment.htm. Aspirants must also submit a hard copy of the application form via Speed/Registered post, along with self-attested photocopies of all supporting documents and testimonials.
The available teaching positions and their corresponding Academic Pay levels are Professor-Academic Pay level-14 (₹1,44,200-2,18,200), Associate Professor-Academic Pay level-13A (₹1,31,400-2,17,100) and Assistant Professor-Academic Pay level-10 (₹57,700-1,82,400)
The mode of selection for these positions will be based on the academic score as specified in UGC Regulations 2018, with subsequent amendments. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview, and the final selection will be based solely on the candidates’ performance during the interview.
Applicants can their online applications also through the CU Chayan Portal (https://curec.samarth.ac.in/), the link to which is available on the IGNTU website. Before applying, candidates should carefully read the advertisement to ensure their eligibility and suitability for the desired positions. The instructions on the CU Chayan Portal should also be thoroughly reviewed.
Candidates from the UR/OBC/EWS category are required to pay an application processing fee of ₹1000/- (One thousand rupees) only, which is to be paid online. However, candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD/Women/Transgender categories are exempt from paying any fees. Those applying for multiple positions should submit separate online applications and processing fees for each post.
Applicants currently employed elsewhere should submit their applications through the proper channel, along with an advance copy of their application. During the interview, candidates must present a “No Objection Certificate” from their employer, failing which they will not be considered.
The completed hard copy of the application form, along with the necessary fee (where applicable), should be sent via Speed/Registered post in a closed envelope. The envelope should be super-scribed with “Application for the post of [Desired Position] Category [Category Type] and the Advertisement No. [Advertisement Number] of the post,” and addressed to The Registrar, Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Amarkantak Village -Lalpur, District Anuppur, Madhya Pradesh- 484887, India.
