SRINAGAR: Police in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district claimed to have arrested an accused who allegedly stabbed his own mother in the district.
Reports said that a man stabbed his mother at Batengoo area in Anantnag. However, upon receiving the information, a police team rushed to the spot and promptly arrested the accused person.
Officials identified the victim as Hajra Begum, wife of Ghulam Mohiuddin Dar, who has been shifted to local hospital for treatment. From there, she was referred to GMC Anantnag for advanced treatment.
The officials further stated that the accused has been identified as Javid Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Mahiddin Dar.
A case in this regard has been registered, and further investigation has been initiated. (KS)
