After hinting at possibly retiring this summer, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has let it be known that he fully intends to play a 21st season in the NBA.

The Lakers will have the future Hall-of-Famer in purple and gold for at least one more season as the storied franchise attempts to win its 18th NBA title.

After the 2023-24 NBA season, it’s anyone’s guess what is in store for James and what he plans to do in his playing career, as it may not be out of the realm of possibility that he does seriously consider retirement.

As for the long-term future, it seems as though James is serious about becoming an NBA owner, with his sights being set on owning the expansion franchise that is destined to be in Las Vegas, Nevada.

According to former NBA superstar Tracy McGrady, James wants to own a team in Las Vegas, and those rumors have been swirling for quite some time now, according to GQ Sports via NBA Retweet.

A lot has to happen in order for all of this to come to fruition, as the league has to announce the expansion teams and a timeline for when that will happen, and James has to no longer be connected to the Lakers or another team he might be playing for at the time.

It seems inevitable that James will dabble into ownership in the NBA, but when and how remains to be seen, as a lot can and will happen over the next few years.
