Before finishing his college career at Clemson University, star quarterback Trevor Lawrence was considered the next NFL superstar in the making, with the young kid getting comparisons to Hall of Famer Peyton Manning.

Much like Manning, Lawrence’s NFL career got off to a rocky start, as he struggled to make a considerable impact as the new starting quarterback for the struggling Jacksonville Jaguars.

Lawrence threw 17 interceptions to only 12 touchdowns during his rookie campaign with the Jaguars, leaving many people wondering if he indeed was the real deal and the next superstar quarterback in the league.

Fortunately, with new head coach Doug Pederson, Lawrence came into his own during his sophomore season in Jacksonville, as he threw for 25 touchdowns and only eight interceptions while adding five rushing touchdowns.

Lawrence was able to change the narrative and lead the Jaguars into the playoffs in only his second season, which is impressive, to say the least.

The 23-year-old recently discussed what he’s improved in his game since the Jaguars drafted him No. 1 overall pick two years ago via NFL Network.

The real question is whether Lawrence continues to improve while making the Jaguars a better football team and a real threat in the AFC, as the competition has only gotten tougher in the conference.

The Jaguars are expected to be a playoff team again next season as the offense has been boosted by star wide receiver Calvin Ridley, who is already on the same page with Lawrence during training camp.
