The Dallas Cowboys will head into the 2023 NFL season with arguably the best defense in the NFL, led by Micah Parsons, Trevon Diggs, and DeMarcus Lawrence.

Usually, the Cowboys make a lot of headlines for being dominant on the offensive side of the football with a star quarterback leading the way like Dak Prescott, Tony Romo, or Troy Aikman.

This time around, it is the defense that is getting all the attention in Dallas, as Parsons and company could be a scary sight for any opposing offense during the 2023 campaign.

Along with Parsons being the leader of the pack and a candidate for NFL Defensive Player of the Year, Dallas has some intimidating guys on the defensive side of the football, including rookie defensive tackle Mazi Smith.

Smith recently admitted that he doesn’t even like to play football, as the one thing that drives him is hitting people on the football field, via Bleacher Report.

If you are a player on offense on a team facing the Cowboys defense, they would be wise to stay as far away as possible from Smith.

With the defense in Dallas being as formidable as it is, Smith will have to make quite the impression to remain a starter on the team, which he is expected to be during his first season with the Cowboys.

It’ll be interesting to see if the Cowboys defense does turn out to be as good as everyone thinks it will be and what impact that will have on this team’s hopes to win it all.
