Nick Wright Blames The Media For Overhyping Josh Allen

When Josh Allen first started for the Buffalo Bills, one could say that his performances were far from impressive.

But he’s made great strides ever since, improving in almost every single category, up to the point where he’s now considered an elite quarterback and a perennial MVP candidate.

However, sports analyst Nick Wright doesn’t believe that should be the case.

The Fox anchor made it loud and clear that Allen is vastly overrated, and he was at it again on an edition of First Things First.

Wright claimed that Allen being considered the third-best quarterback in the game behind Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow is just a product of the media, and he elaborated his case by taking a look at his quarterback rating per season and how they’re not exactly elite.

Truth be told, Allen might not be the best quarterback in anything, but he’s definitely one of the best in everything.

He can extend plays out of the pocket; he’s strong and fast, can get his yards on the ground, and has one of the strongest arms in the game as well.

The Bills have been perennial contenders, and one could argue that some of the regression they experienced last year was due to his shortcomings in key stretches, but he’s still one of the best in the game.

We have more talent in the league today than we’ve ever had, and one could make a case for at least five different QBs being the third-best in the game.
