After a three-win season, most teams in the NFL would think the sky is falling, and something drastic needs to be done in order to right the ship for their franchise.

However, the Chicago Bears are not freaking out about a forgettable 2022 NFL season, as the team has high hopes that they’ve finally found a franchise quarterback in Justin Fields.

Despite having a massive losing streak to finish the 2022 campaign, Chicago saw a lot of promising things from Fields, who made a name for himself as a quarterback on the rise, as he became one of the more versatile players at the position.

Coming into the 2023 NFL season, the Bears hope Fields can take it to another level and help this team win more games, and optimism is high in Chicago that he can do just that.

Even though Fields has shown a lot of talent and promise, he’s far from perfect and needs to improve in a lot of areas, with wide receiver Darnell Mooney recently pointing out a few things, via Brendan Sugrue of The Bears Wire.

Initially, Mooney’s comments might be taken as a shot at Fields or that there is some beef between these players, but that isn’t the case, as he gave an honest answer.

Mooney believes that the quarterback has to bring confidence in the huddle and make his teammates around him confident that they can move down the field and put points on the board.

As a quiet guy, as Mooney pointed out, it may be difficult for Fields to express himself on the field and get his teammates fired up, but all the great players at his position can do that, which means the young quarterback has a bit more learning to do to get to that level.
