For years, there has been bad blood between NBA legends Dwyane Wade and Dirk Nowitzki.

But it sounds like the past has been put behind them and these two icons are actually friends now.

According to the Dallas Morning News and Eddie Sefko, via MFFL, Wade and Nowitzki have “settled their beef.”

Apparently, they went to dinner a few months ago and celebrated both of them making the Hall of Fame.

The rivalry between these two players goes back nearly 20 years now.

It all started in 2006 when Wade and his Heat faced off against Nowitzki and his Mavericks in the NBA Finals.

That year, the Heat came out on top but Nowitzki held a grudge and wanted revenge.

He got it in 2011 when Dallas beat Miami in the Finals.

There have been rumors of serious dislike between these two ever since then.

In fact, reports have said that Nowitzki claimed to “hate” Miami and its trio of Wade, LeBron James, and Chris Bosh.

It was reportedly that hatred that led him to play to so hard and overcome the Heat in the 2011 championship.

Despite their previous disdain, Nowitzki and Wade actually have a fair amount in common.

They obviously share a love of the game, and of their families, and have experienced the unique career that so few have.

Now they are both going to be in the Hall of Fame.

That honor really puts things in perspective.

Just a few years ago, it seemed very unlikely that these two would ever truly respect one another, let alone have dinner together and enjoy good conversation.

However, time apparently heals all wounds.
