Russell Westbrook of the Los Angeles Clippers was a friend and great admirer of the rapper Nipsey Hustle, who would have been 38 years old on August 15.
Unfortunately, Hustle’s life was cut short in March 2019.
Just weeks later, Westbrook, then playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder, scored 20 points, 20 rebounds, and 20 assists in a game.
He dedicated that amazing performance to Hustle.

And others fondly remember just how exciting a game it was.

While Westbrook, like all NBA stars, has his own set of problems, few people can deny that he has a lot of fight in him.
He pours himself into nearly every single game, whether it results in a win or a loss.
Sometimes he can be short-sighted and make bad mistakes, like poor shot selection or bad passing.
But Westbrook definitely pushes himself hard day in and day out.
The game that he dedicated to Hustle was a very special one and it showed him achieving something that few NBA stars have.
But it meant a lot to him as well, and that made it all the more important.
